Nhavigadh : One day difficult trek on 05/02/2017..

Nhavigadh is a beautiful fort southwest of MANGI-TUNGI and TAMBOLYA in Baglan area of Nashik District (Maharashtra) and can be approached from Mani-Tungi village or directly from Mulher. It has fort walls and water tanks at the top. 

According to the beliefs, a royal barber cut throat of king on orders of The King's Uncle.. So it is called Nhavi(Barber) fort. Other name is Ratangad...

A strip climb with two narrow and vertical stairs, traverse walk on vertical slopes, passing a narrow ridge of 10-12 feet long and only 2-3 feet wide... A beautiful trek for enthusiast trekkers.... We were 17 enthusiast trekkers, out of this 15 completed this trek successfully. Two trekkers were satisfied till Saptashringi Mataji Temple... Really a must do trek.....

No drinking water or accommodation is available on the fort... Technical support is required to cross the last ridge to the top....

There is no material about this fort available on net... Even in Mr. Harish Kapadia's book also... This fort can be accessed by either from Sataana town (10 KMs) or from Salher wadi village (30 Kms)... A beautifull fort with great fortification, still alive... well maintained and even we can get plenty of good drinking water there... Accommodation is available in Wadichauler village school and keys are available with some local people... 20 Great enthusiast participants, 12 trekker were return from Salher Fort trek and did this one with us, with a great enthusiasm... Completed the trek successfully with these mates and thanking to al the participants for their contribution and valuable thoughts.....

One day Pilot trek to Toraniyo Hill 0n 12/12/2016

Toraniyo hill is a small mount situated near Vasda National Part...  A floating stone is visible in temple at the top.

We did this pilot trek for One-Day Family Trek on coming Sunday...

Nice place to be there or have a one day outing..
