Nhavigadh is a beautiful fort southwest of MANGI-TUNGI and TAMBOLYA in Baglan area of Nashik District (Maharashtra) and can be approached from Mani-Tungi village or directly from Mulher. It has fort walls and water tanks at the top.
According to the beliefs, a royal barber cut throat of king on orders of The King's Uncle.. So it is called Nhavi(Barber) fort. Other name is Ratangad...
A strip climb with two narrow and vertical stairs, traverse walk on vertical slopes, passing a narrow ridge of 10-12 feet long and only 2-3 feet wide... A beautiful trek for enthusiast trekkers.... We were 17 enthusiast trekkers, out of this 15 completed this trek successfully. Two trekkers were satisfied till Saptashringi Mataji Temple... Really a must do trek.....
No drinking water or accommodation is available on the fort... Technical support is required to cross the last ridge to the top....
