Girisanchar-23


GIRISANCHAR, the Annual All India Trekking Expedition, is now in its 23rd year. This event has continued to fulfill its aim of providing a challenging a week-long Trekking and Camping experience to its participants, thus promoting the zeal for adventure and infusing a sense of camaraderie among them.
Tapi & Dang district of Gujarat has been selectedc for this year.
# Base camp KAPS T/S ,Other camps are Gaumukh,Chimer village,Mahal camp site, Bardipada forest guest house and last camp is in Mayadevi ,Bheskatri.....

ONE DAY FAMILY TREKKING PROGRAMME TO TORANIYO MOUNT






ONE DAY FAMILY TREKKING PROGRAMME
Dear Friends,

One day trekking programme cum Picnic for families is organized by our Green Valley Trekking Club to Toraniyo Dungar near Unai.

Details are:
DATE : 06/12/2011 (Tuesday)TIME : 08:15 hrs (we will be back by 19:00 hrs).
PLACE : Toraniyo Dungar near Unai (50 KMs from T/S).
PLACES OF INTEREST : (1) Floating Shivlinga (2) Loard Shivji’s temple (3) Scenes of surrounding areas (4) Caves while descending
ITMES TO BE TAKEN : Personal vehicle, Water (at least 2 liters), Trekking bag, Cap or Hat, I-card, Pen, Diary, Chocolates, chewing gum, Medicines, Camera or Binocular if you have, old cloths for village children (if you wish).
PURPOSE: To increase love for nature, team spirit and outdoor recreation activity.
PARTICIPATION: This event is for all nature lovers. No limit for participants.
ADVANCE : Rs 200/- (for lunch at the place and morning packed breakfast)

Please inform your confirmation for the trek till Sunday Evening (04/12/2011), for giving order for Lunch and packed breakfast, to Jagdish Jadav(9428822351, 9879503706), Sanjay Modi (9427158262) or Bipin Patel(9428631889).
PROGRAMME DETAILS:
* Assembling at Bus stop#9 at 08:15 hours. We will leave at 08:30 hrs for the trek.
* Have a packed breakfast on the way.
* Reach Unai by 09:30 hours and Unai Mataji Darshan and leave by 10:30 hrs.
* Reach Toraniyo Dungar at 11:00 hrs, start the trek to the top (approx. 100 meters ascend) and reach the top by 12:00 hrs.
* Explore the hill : (1) Floating Shivlinga (2) Loard Shivji’s temple (3) Scenes of surrounding areas (4) Caves while descending.
* Funny Games for Children, couples.
* Lunch by 14:00 hrs and have lunch.
* 14:30 hrs to 16:00 hours – various entertainment programmes by participants (Campfire), antakshari, housie etc.
* Leave the place by 16:30 hrs and reach Vyara by 18:00 hrs.
* Those, who want to have dinner at Vyara, can have it and others may proceed to township.
RULES & REGULATION:
* Due precautions are to be taken by all the individuals, the ultimate responsibility lies on you. Care your children during the trek.
* Follow group leader’s instruction.
* This is an eco-friendly trek. So, any activity against nature is prohibited. Do not litter plastic waste any where.
* Deviation from the trek is not permitted. Be always with group.
* Do not over-take and avoid shortcuts while trekking.
* Swimming in river is strictly prohibited.
* Please wear shoes, as it is more preferable.

25/09/2011 16:00 - Complete the trek and leave for Township via-Nashik-Saputara
25/09/2011 24:00 -  Reach Township

On 10/09/2011, a bird watch programme is being conducted at Kakrapar Dam – Kakrapar Left Canal.
Details are:
DATE : 10/09/2011 (Saturday)
TIME : 06:20 hrs at Kalpesh Pan Stall, we will leave by 06:30 sharp(we will be back by 09:15 hrs).
PLACE : Kakrpara dam – Kakrapar Left Canal.
ENTRY FEE : Nil.
ITMES TO BE TAKEN : Personal vehicle, Water, Small Trekking bag, Raincoat, I-card, Pen, Diary, Chocolates, Camera, Binocular.

PURPOSE: Bird watch - identification of birds and their habits.
PARTICIPATION: This event is for all nature lovers. No limit for participants.

If you wish to join the programme, please be available at Kalpesh Pan Stall, outside Township Main Gate by 06:30 hours morning on the day.

PROGRAMME DETAILS:
* Assembling at Kalpesh Pan Stall at 06:20 hours. We will leave at 06:30 hrs for the programme.
* Reach Kakrapar Dam by 07:00 hours (15 KMs).
* Bird watch – 07:15 hrs to 09:00 hrs.

Bhimashankar trek on 14-15 Oct.. With Offbeat Sahyadri Group, Mumabi..

I had two days trek with Offbeat Sahyadri Group, Mumbai on 14 & 15 August, via the offbeat route - Vajantrighat..   On Shrawan's Monday, we were at the temple...

All the route was with beauty....  Rain, Nature to its max.. The route.... We really enjoyed the trek...
