Bhimashankar trek on 14-15 Oct.. With Offbeat Sahyadri Group, Mumabi..

I had two days trek with Offbeat Sahyadri Group, Mumbai on 14 & 15 August, via the offbeat route - Vajantrighat..   On Shrawan's Monday, we were at the temple...

All the route was with beauty....  Rain, Nature to its max.. The route.... We really enjoyed the trek...

Bird Watching on 28/08/2011


Bird Watching on 28/08/2011

Dear Friends,

On 28/08/2011, a bird watch programme is being conducted at Kakrapar Dam – Kakrapar Left Canal, if Rain permits

 
Details are: 

DATE :           28/08/2011 (Sunday)

TIME :           06:30 hrs at Kalpesh Pan Stall, we will leave by 06:45 sharp(we will be back by 09:00 hrs).

PLACE :         Kakrpara dam – Kakrapar Left Canal.

ENTRY FEE :  Nil.  

ITMES TO BE TAKEN : Personal vehicle, Water, Small Trekking bag, Raincoat, I-card, Pen, Diary, Camera or Binocular.

PURPOSE:   Bird watch - identification of birds and their habits.

PARTICIPATION: This event is for all nature lovers. No limit for participants.

If you wish to join the programme, please be available at Kalpesh Pan Stall, outside Township Main Gate by
06:30
hours morning on the day. 

PROGRAMME DETAILS:

*      Assembling at Kalpesh Pan Stall at 06:30 hours. We will leave at 06:45 hrs for the programme.
*      Reach Kakrapar Dam by 07:15 hours (15 KMs).
*      Bird watch – 07:15 hrs to 08:30 hrs.
*      Leave the place by 08:30 hrs and reach Township by 09:00 hrs.


RULES & REGULATION:

*      Due precautions are to be taken by all the individuals, the ultimate responsibility lies on you.
*      This is an eco-friendly programme. So, any activity against nature is prohibited. Do not litter plastic waste any where.
*      Do not disturb the Nature and flora and Fauna.

We, The Green Valley Trekking Club, Anumala, done the Amarnath Yatra from 11/07/2011 to 13/07/2011, with 33 members and without any mishap.....

Amarnathji is considered to be one of the major Hindu Dhams, the Panch Kailash. The holy cave is the abode of Lord Shiva. The guardian of the absolute, Lord Shiva, the destroyer, is enshrined in the form of an ice-lingam in this cave. This lingam is formed naturally, which is believed to wax and wane with the moon.

Bird Watching programme at Kakrapar Dam / Ratania lake is organized  on 25/06/2011. The schedule is:

- Be present at 06:00 hrs near Kalpesh Pan stall outside township.
- Reach Kakrapar Dam at 06:30 hrs.
- 06:30 hrs to 07:30 hrs : Bird watch at Kakrapar Dam and Ratania Lake.
- Bach to Township by 08:00 hrs.

Items to be taken : Personal vehicle, Camera or Binocular, Water, light snaks, Pen, Diary, Small trekking Bag,

ONE DAY TREKKING PROGRAMME TO ROOPGADH (DANGS)

Monsoon has started and in its full fledge now, it is a time for a trek! One-day
trekking programme is organized by our Green Valley Trekking Club to Roopgadh,
near Kalibel, Dangs District.

Details are:
DATE :           26/06/2011 (Sunday)
TIME :           08:00 hrs at Kalpesh Pan Stall, we will leave by 08:30 sharp(we will be back by 18:00 hrs).
PLACE :         Roopgadh near Kalibel, Dangs District, Kalibel-Bardipada Road.
ENTRY FEE :  Nil (own vehicle, food etc).         
ITMES TO BE TAKEN : Personal vehicle, Food, Water, Small Trekking bag, Cap or Hat, Raincoat, I-card, Pen, Diary, Chocolates, Medicines, Camera or Binocular if you have, chewing gum, Old cloths for village children (if you wish).

PURPOSE:   To increase love for nature, team spirit and outdoor recreation activity.
PARTICIPATION: This event is for all nature lovers. No limit for participants.

Please inform your confirmation for the trek till Friday Evening (24/06/2011

*      Reach Bhujad Village by 09:30 hours (42 KMs).
*      Start trek to the Roopgadh (3.0 KM trek) at 10:00 hrs and reach by 11:30 hrs.
*      Lunch by 12:00 hrs and have a rest.
*      Start for Kalibel Village by 14:00 and reach Kalibel Village by 15:00 hrs. Visit to a small water fall.
*      Leave the place by 16:00 hrs and reach Township by 18:00 hrs.

*      Please wear shoes, as it is more preferable.
